Patient Satisfaction Program Earns National Recognition
(HENDERSON, NV, June 9, 2008) - St. Rose Dominican Hospitals has received a Silver Anvil Award of Excellence from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The Award of Excellence, which recognizes outstanding strategic public relations planning and implementation, was presented to St. Rose during the 2008 Silver Anvil Awards Evening held June 5 in New York City.
St. Rose, along with its design firm, American Media Corporation, received the Award of Excellence for its "Siena Emergency Department Patient Satisfaction" campaign in the Reputation/Brand Management category. St. Rose was the only organization from Nevada to receive a Silver Anvil Award of Excellence.
"The emergency department at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals - Siena Campus sees extremely high patient volumes due to treatment of everything from trauma cases to the common cold," said Rod Davis, president, St. Rose Dominican Hospitals. "Implementing the patient satisfaction improvement program resulted in higher patient satisfaction ratings. The fact that the program was recognized nationally for its success was truly an honor."

The Silver Anvil Awards program has grown in scope and stature since its inception in 1946, and awards are now given in 59 categories and subcategories. To date, more than 1,200 organizations have received Silver Anvils for excellence in strategic public relations planning and implementation.
