"The labyrinth near the Emergency Room at the St. Rose Dominican Hospitals - San Martín Campus was created and designed by Robert Ferré and finished in late 2007 to offer patients, families and valley residents a way of journeying along a path to their own centers then back out into the world," said Rod Davis, president, St. Rose Dominican Hospitals. "Labyrinths have been used as meditation and prayer tools for centuries. A labyrinth is not a maze - labyrinths have just one path which leads the walker to the center and out again."
According to Holly Lyman, director of the Barbara Greenspun WomensCare Center of Excellence, "This intensive training is designed to give participants the full range of skills necessary to organize or present labyrinth events and ceremonies, meditations and healing ceremonies for family, friends and community groups. Participants will also learn how to construct temporary or permanent labyrinths."
